Alisaxni Resort

The rooms are reasonably priced and quite clean, though they feel dated and could use an upgrade, especially with newer properties opening nearby. Breakfast is a simple but tasty continental spread in a small dining room separate from the rooms. The owner is lovely and friendly, and the location gives you a sea view away from the crowded tourist hotspots, while keeping you near the southern island sights. We rented a quad bike to get around for a few days. People often say they're death traps, but I think that comes down to inexperienced riders, and local drivers getting frustrated and taking risks overtaking at blind spots. They can be very useful on this small island where parking is almost nonexistent.

The room was good and the breakfast excellent. Irene and the other staff made our stay such a good experience. It's nice to see people who go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Would I come back? Definitely!!!

The freshly made pastries and buffet breakfast were delicious, and the place was comfortable and clean. We got the warmest welcome in a peaceful spot with stunning views. Just wonderful, it feels like paradise.

The owner, Irini, and her manager were kind and welcoming, always around to help. We loved the beautiful, peaceful resort and its amazing caldera view, with far fewer tourists than in Fira and Oia. The Akoritiri lighthouse is only a short walk away. The owner made breakfast by hand every day, which was nice, though it was light: pastries, cakes, yoghurt, and cereal, with very little protein or savory food. IMPORTANT!!!! Arrange transport before you go to Santorini. The bus stop is a 5km walk from the resort, and a taxi there costs €10-15. You can rent cars or quad bikes with a valid IDL (international driving license), which is much cheaper than taking a taxi. Strongly advised!!! We absolutely loved this resort and don't think you'll regret visiting.
