Ilioperato Traditional Apartments

The caldera view really is stunning, but that was the only good part of our stay. We came to Santorini for our honeymoon and booked a honeymoon suite with a private jacuzzi overlooking the caldera, expecting something special. Instead, the room was dusty and dated, the shower had visible mold, and the sink was completely blocked and wouldn’t drain. I spoke with the manager early the next morning. She offered another room, but the cleanliness problems had already become a major concern. After a long, frustrating back-and-forth that left me crying, she agreed to cancel the reservation and reimburse us for the second night. We left after breakfast. Then the orange juice arrived with maggots or worms in it. It was disgusting and unacceptable, and by then we just wanted to get out as quickly as possible. The dirty room, maintenance problems, and breakfast incident ruined what should have been a special occasion.

The location and view were amazing, and we liked the room with the pool. Breakfast could have been better. What really bothered us was that I left a shirt in the closet. A few hours later, while heading to the airport, I called reception, and they said nothing had been left in the room. Surely someone took it. Given how much we paid, we shouldn’t have had to deal with this.

We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and Ilioperato Hotel in Imerovigli turned out to be just right. The terrace had the most breathtaking caldera view, making both mornings and evenings feel special. Its private jacuzzi was a real treat, and the room was spotless, with careful cleaning every day. The whole team was warm, friendly, and ready to help. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and delicious. We felt at home and in paradise at the same time. Thank you for making the anniversary so memorable. The view from our room and balcony was stunning, and the room was comfortable in a good location. Breakfast was okay. But the hot tub had lots of dead insects and bees in it. Reception said someone would clean it, but nobody came while we waited. We went out for dinner and found it still dirty the next day. Some of the towels also felt rough and smelled sour. We had an early flight, and reception said they’d prepare breakfast to go. There was no breakfast box when we left. The one way airport transfer was €40, paid in cash.
