Eleni Apartments

Charlene and Jimmy gave me a warm welcome, and Charlene and Ian were around when I needed advice. I've stayed at eleni Apartments-Texas for seven years running, and this latest 10 day visit was brilliant again. The huge pool is cleaned and sorted every night by John and Jimmy, and the cleaners do a brilliant job in the rooms six days out of seven. The food was outstanding, with a big menu for breakfast, lunch and tea if you want to eat early, since serving stops around 7.45. Everything was delicious. There were three nights of entertainment, with Ian doing karaoke, Bingo's Quizzes and killer pool, plus Jimmy and his family putting on a fantastic Greek night. The pool and its surroundings were really pretty, and we enjoyed both the Abba Hearts night and Greek Night. As we say at home, great craic. We spent 10 days at Eleni Texas Bar and absolutely loved it. The apartments had everything needed for self catering and were spotless. They were cleaned every day with fresh towels and changed beds. The food was excellent and drinks were so cheap. Charlene and Jimmy were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely be back, hopefully see you soon x

The facilities were a mess, and the people in charge seemed uninterested when we raised problems. The toilet often didn't work, and we were denied toilet paper, which I find unheard of even for self catering. We also found what we believed were bed bugs. When we told staff, they said we were wrong because bed bugs only bite in a straight line. The staff member Jimmy was hostile, had no people skills, and shouldn't be in hospitality. I expect he'll reply with sarcasm instead of improving the place. We had to pay daily for air conditioning, then were told we couldn't leave it on while out. We wanted to come back from dinner to a cool room, but staff said we weren't allowed, despite our payment. If I ever returned to this so-called property, I'd need one room for myself and another for whoever had a gun to my head. I'd feel dishonest not warning other holidaymakers about this crime scene. Avoid at all costs.

It's a family run place, and Jimmy and Charlene are always accommodating and work hard to make your stay memorable. Lots of people come back year after year, and I'll definitely return too. They keep the gardens in good shape, and John, their dad, is always busy with something. You can eat at the apartments, where the menu mixes English and traditional Greek dishes, and Jimmy and Charlene will make changes to suit you. For an evening meal in Sidari, I'd recommend The Sea Breeze. I've never had a bad meal there. Just got back from a brilliant week at the eleni apt.sidari, where I also met some nice new friends.
