Aquarius Village Agistri

My husband and I spent two nights here and found it cozy and really pleasant. The room had air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a nice sea view from the living area. We loved sitting on our large private balcony to watch the sea and the sunset. The room was very clean, which we especially appreciated during the Covid-19 period.

We lost a week's payment when we left for another hotel the next morning. That one was cleaner, prettier, better located, and cheaper. This stay was awful, and I wouldn't recommend it. At first, the welcome from the friendly staff seemed promising. But when we were shown the room, the woman told us not to set the AC below 23 degrees C, warning that it might break and we'd have to pay for a replacement. A4 notices on the doors also said we'd be charged for any damaged linens or towels. The linens smelled bad and clearly weren't clean. In the bathroom, ventilation was just a hole in the ceiling with a metal pipe. Showering meant mixing scalding hot water from one showerhead with very cold water from another. We couldn't sleep because the club across the street played incredibly loud music until 5am. When we called the local police station, the officer said there was nothing they could do because the club owner's son was the island mayor. The hotel owner offered to move us to another room, but that wouldn't have fixed the noise.

The people were super friendly, and our room was clean and well equipped. The air conditioning worked well, and one of our balconies had a beautiful view. Breakfast there was amazing. Our apartment faced the street, so nights were a little noisy, but I enjoyed my stay a lot.

For anyone hoping for quiet nights, there's some kind of Greek nightclub nearby that plays music until 6 or 7am. The place itself was lovely and clean, reasonably priced, and the service was quite good. I'm taking off a star because the cutlery was in poor shape and the kitchen only had one pot. If you plan to cook, bring at least a knife and a decent frying pan.
