Zakka's House

We found public parking about a five-minute walk away. The hotel is fabulous, with beautiful landscaping and a striking structure inside and out. Our room looked out at the cliffs and had stone walls and a vaulted ceiling probably 20 feet high. It was an incredible-looking room and hotel, especially at such a low price compared with other places we’ve stayed here and in America. We hope to return to this lovely hotel and community!

A very unique and historic house, with beautiful garden and intricate stone flooring, as you can see in the pictures. There’s a rooftop patio, and a fantastic breakfast is included. The location is perfect. This is the best boutique hotel I’ve stayed at so far in Greece.

The breakfast was excellent, and the ladies serving it were extremely friendly and attentive. The receptionist, though, was quite aloof and offered very little service. I liked the building’s vintage style and the room decor, although my friend thought it looked a bit dated. The room was generally well-maintained, but had some visible cracks. Hot water in the shower ran short, the pressure was weak, and the bathroom had an unusual smell. Since the hotel allows pets, we also heard dogs barking in neighboring rooms.

We only stopped for coffee on the lovely rooftop terrace, but were made to feel very welcome. It came with water, a slice of cake on the house, and the sweetest smile. Highly recommended. 🙂
