The mountain views were amazing, the apartments spotless, and the cleaning lady was lovely. The food was lovely too, and I couldn't fault the place. Alex, the owner, and the staff made us feel so welcome. Absolutely fabulous, highly recommended. We'll definitely come back.

My wife and I got home to Ireland after a week in Stalis, Crete, and had a fantastic experience at the dionysos apartments and studios. “Exceptional” hardly covers it. We arrived late, but Alex greeted us and couldn't have been more helpful. The bar was almost closing, yet Alex went out of the way to cook us two fantastic cheeseburgers because it was too late to walk elsewhere. The next morning we took in the surrounding scenery and how relaxed the place felt. It's only a pleasant ten-minute walk from the main shopping resort area, and the katarina supermarket is right next door, which was so convenient for stocking up on the essentials for the week. Alex and the family served us great food and gave us tips on what to do, where to go, and what to see. The atmosphere was very friendly and professional, and everyone staying there seemed relaxed. Stalis itself was fantastic, so clean and friendly, with great food everywhere we went. The lady who cleaned the rooms and kept the apartments stocked was amazing. Alex arranged our transfer back to heraklion airport, and it was a VIP transfer. We'd highly recommend staying here and couldn't be more grateful.

For two days, the owner and his wife kept returning to pressure us for extra money for our child, more than half the total booking price. When I calmly explained my point, they stopped speaking to me, as though I had no right to question them. It completely ruined our vacation. The behavior was unacceptable, and this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Avoid it if you want peace and respect.

We made breakfast in the little kitchen in our room and usually ate dinner at the hotel. The chef made wonderful pita with tzatziki and an incredible chicken roll, and the Thursday barbecue night was the best food I’ve ever had. We also loved relaxing by the amazing pool. The family created such a cozy atmosphere and were truly lovely people. We visited at the end of July and had worried the conditions might be poor for the price, especially after reading some negative reviews, but we were checked in early and got a room with air conditioning and the number of beds we needed. It had everything we needed. The sea was a 10-minute walk away, and the nearest transport stop took 7 minutes to reach. Thank you for making our vacation unforgettable. Hugs from Ukraine 🩷🥰
