We had a sea view, air conditioning, cooking facilities and a kettle, and had a great time. The apartment was functional and well serviced. There was no TV, the only thing I’d mark it down for, but with the Olympics on I might have noticed more. I hardly considered it a problem. I don’t give five stars to places, but this one’s the exception. Thanks very much. We loved it and will be going back.

The owner, Elen, looked after us so well and gave us excellent service. She also shared great restaurant recommendations and useful transport information. Arranging a taxi to and from the airport, even in the early hours, was a big help. The apartment was spotless, well equipped with everything we needed, and had a comfortable, homely feel. This holiday was absolutely wonderful without a single flaw, and we’d be very happy to return. There’s still so much more for us to discover in Crete, especially with such a perfect place to stay. The villa sits in a beautiful garden, right near the sea and in the city centre, yet it’s very quiet. Absolutely amazing accommodation!

The location is close to the sea, but our stay was badly let down by the welcome and the lack of clear information. Air conditioning turned out to cost an extra €7 a day, payable in cash with no receipt, and although Booking.com mentioned parking, there was none available. Clean sheets and towels were an issue too: right after the rooms had been made up, we found them dirty (see attached photos). The apartment also wasn't equipped well enough for self-catering, especially when it came to dishes and cutlery. The bathroom felt unusually small and had an odd height.
