We waited 3h after arriving before the rooms were ready, and even then they weren’t clean or needed extra fixes and things. The staff were polite but didn’t really try to make us feel welcome. The receptionist had given birth TEN days earlier and still had to come to work. Our room was small, and we were so unsure about the cleanliness that we planned to buy our own forks, knives, and plates. There wasn’t even a sponge for us to clean with. We were on the ground floor and could hear every word and movement at reception. The furniture was old, and it felt as if they might want it to break so we’d pay for replacements. It’s near the city center, but not worth it.

The island is absolutely worth visiting, with amazing beaches, but I wouldn’t book this accommodation. We arrived to find no receptionist, just the keys left on the desk. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly, everything was old, and the kitchen equipment was dirty and poorly stocked. We had to buy a sponge and some kitchen supplies to use the food we’d brought. The bed was awful and already broken by the second day. We told the hostess, but she didn’t care. There’s no sound insulation, so we heard every whisper and traffic noise at night. When we asked the managers whether we could leave and get our money back because we were unhappy, they went quiet and seemed to play us. We eventually gave up and stayed. Then the bed broke again on the last night. We informed the manager, but she did nothing, so we slept on the floor. 😬

The host is really nice, and the place is very close to the center. It’s a bit far from the beach, though, and the rooms could be larger.

It was clean, but the bathroom and balcony were small. The fridge only fits about 3 bottles of water.
