The whole property is very clean and well maintained, and the pool is spacious, comfortable and clean, with an excellent sea view. It’s open 24/7, which is handy for a swim after a day at the beach or on a trip. The area is quiet and only 10 minutes from the city centre. The sunsets are lovely. Still, I’d only book two or three nights, not a week, because you shouldn’t expect much service. The pool area has a parking lot right behind it that they don’t mention, and it really takes away from the relaxing feel. Most sunbeds are damaged, and there aren’t enough umbrellas or shade. Service was one of the biggest letdowns. There’s no manager or clearly responsible person, no real lobby, just a dining room with a bar and a small reception-like area. It closes at 19:00, which is a joke, especially since travel agencies put information papers there. The place claims to be a 3-star hotel even on its website, but it falls far short, and the photos are very different from reality. The rooms aren’t soundproof despite the hotel’s claims; you hear everything from the hall and staircase, which is annoying. Quiet and cleanliness are two essentials for a hotel, and luckily Vournelis does deliver on cleanliness. I can’t understand charging 9 euros for defrosted pizza and 4 euros for a small draft mythos when it’s served so poorly. There doesn’t seem to be any effort to do something for clients. It has so much potential in such a lovely location.

I usually avoid leaving negative reviews unless I have to, but this hotel was a disaster. What you see online has nothing to do with the actual place. The rooms are outdated, the appliances don’t work, there’s no hot water, the TV was broken, and there were countless other small problems. Wi-Fi barely worked, and the mobile connection was spotty. There was no management. None of the staff seemed to care or know anything. The location and closeness to the beach are the only positives, but everything else ruins the atmosphere. I wouldn’t recommend staying here; there are plenty of other options nearby. Greece is a beautiful country, and this hotel doesn’t reflect its service or welcoming nature.

Really recommend it. The breakfast was beautiful and varied, and the Wi-Fi was great. It’s an excellent hotel by the sea and close to the centre. The rooms were tidy, cleaned every day, and our sheets were changed daily.

I’ve just come back from a wonderful holiday at Vournelis hotel. If you want peace and quiet, gorgeous sea views and nature all around, this is the place. The staff were super nice and helpful, everything was clean, and the grounds were lovely with lots of shade. Breakfast was tasty with plenty to choose from, and the location is very convenient, close to everything. The rooms are very good for a 3-star hotel. I’d definitely recommend it. Thanks again, guys, for such a lovely holiday. I’ll be back!

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The pool is very good too. The location is convenient, within walking distance of a beach and Limenas city centre. The rooms are clean, though not very spacious.
