Ariadne Apartments

There were plenty of free sunbeds, and the pool was fantastic and kept beautifully clean. The hotel itself was really clean too, with everything we needed and a lovely location with fabulous views. Pamela and all the staff were very helpful, and the bar food was good value. The walk down the steep hill to town takes about 10-15 minutes at a slow pace. We all managed it, even my 75-year-old mum, who had a knee replacement four months ago. We did take a taxi back a couple of times, mostly because it was so hot, and it cost €6-8. We had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend it.

This was the most relaxed hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The view from the balcony was unbelievable, and there were enough sunbeds by the pool that nobody needed to get up early to put a towel down. The pool area and bar both had a lovely laid-back feel. Everything was spotless, and the staff, food, drinks and cocktails were fantastic. Can’t fault the place.

The main drawback is the steep incline, which could be difficult for elderly guests or anyone with mobility problems. It’s manageable if you’ve had a few drinks before heading back, though. That doesn’t take away from the Ariadne Hotel itself: the family-run team were friendly and helpful, the room maids were excellent and efficient, and the pool had plenty of sunbeds with food and drinks available.

We’ve just had a week here, and the place was peaceful while still being close to everything on the main drag. The pool bar was wonderfully relaxed, with good music and lovely cocktails from Tassos. We enjoyed eating its food while taking in the amazing view. The owners and staff were so friendly, and we had an amazing time.
