It’s a traditional Greek hotel, pet-friendly and excellent value. Our room was large, with a separate kitchenette and a decent bathroom, and the balcony had a nice view. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained. The main beach at Souvala is only a three-minute walk away, and Loutra beach takes about 10 minutes to reach on foot.

I’ve visited Aegina many times over the past 10-12 years, and this family-run hotel is a great place to stay. It’s just outside Souvala, a comfortable spot to rest after a busy day exploring the island. Luckily for me, the owners speak English. Hope I see them again before too long.

The place is very affordable, and might be worth it if you’re only in Souvala for a couple of days and won’t spend much time in the room. For a more tourist-friendly hotel nearby, Ela Mesa may be a better pick, though it costs a little more. It’s a small, family-run hotel with very friendly owners, but unfortunately it seems to have deteriorated over the years. The little kitchen cupboards were dusty and dirty, and the bathrooms were unpleasant and smelled of sewage. The showers had no curtains, making it a hassle to keep water from flooding the room. There’s free Wi-Fi, but no restaurant or pool. Each morning the owners served crackers with butter and marmalade, plus orange juice and coffee or tea.

We had a comfortable, quiet room and a kitchen where we could cook our meals. The location and view were fantastic, and the people were amazing. We’ll definitely visit again, highly recommend!

The location by Souvala beach was really good, and the view was okay. It’s alright for a family, but not one with more than four members. Service was so-so, the toilet was so-so, and the TV nearly made me deaf.
