The beach day access at Four Seasons was well worth it, with a great location, excellent beach service, comfortable loungers, and clean facilities. We had lunch at the restaurant, where the food was mixed. The prawns saganaki were great, but the Greek salad needed more olive oil and flavor for our taste, the potatoes were a bit soggy, and the meatballs very dry. The cappuccino Freddo and homemade lemonade were amazing, though. I’d like to try the fresh fish from local fishermen next time, and would come back for the experience.

We only spent the day here, and the beach service was excellent. Everyone was really on top of things, which we appreciated. It’s NOT part of the Four Seasons chain, although people clearly think it is and stay for that reason. We were told they’ll have to change the name next year.

Getting into town is easy, either by using the hotel’s included water taxi or walking. The rooms were great, and the staff and management were famominal. I’d absolutely recommend the hotel and look forward to returning!

The beach is beautiful, though you can find beaches like that all over Hydra. The rooms and public spaces are poorly designed, and the place feels like an extremely poor imitation. This has nothing to do with Four Season Hotels, and to me it comes across as a scam. Customer relations were bad, and the GM was unfriendly.

The staff at the Four Seasons Hydra restaurant were indifferent after getting our reservation date wrong and charging us for extra desserts. There was no apology or acknowledgment. For somewhere trying so hard to seem classy, the basic hospitality was missing, and I’ve had better service at fast food places. The restaurant seems more focused on looking upscale than delivering good service. The whole experience was disappointing and laughable. I’d avoid it if you want to be treated like a paying guest.
