Margo Houses

I'd happily stay here again. From Margo Houses in Imerovigli, we could easily walk to a view of the Caldera, and the location is beautiful. I booked directly on their website after finding the houses online. Santorini is very expensive; though the cost first led me to consider Kamari Beach, I'd always preferred Imerovigli, where my friends were staying. I had a comfortable, pleasant stay. I also want to apologize for confusing this place with another Margo Studio in Naxos in my earlier review.

We stayed in the spacious, comfortable "Queen" apartment, which was very clean. They cleaned it and replaced the towels every 2-3 days, and cleaned the terrace and jacuzzi daily. The houses are in a quiet area, just a short walk from the restaurants and cafes in central Vothonas. The kitchen has what you'd need to cook, though we preferred breakfast on the terrace in the morning sun, looking out at the sea and mountains. The hosts were very nice and helpful. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a real Greek vacation.

We spent ages relaxing in the jacuzzi and taking in the lovely view from the rooftop. Margo's beautiful apartment sits away from the touristy part of Santorini, and she was the best host I've ever had. She helped arrange a catamaran ride, pointed us to the best restaurants, and made the whole experience amazing. I couldn't recommend Margo houses more. A must-stay location.

The owner had the air conditioning on before we entered the apartment, then carried one of our 17kg suitcases uphill from the parking and patiently showed us around the ground-floor apartment. She also sent detailed local guidance on WhatsApp, including a recommendation for her restaurant, Mario, which was remarkably nice. The cave house is lovely, and the owner's passion shows in all the fine details of its decor. Being close to the local community meant we could experience everyday life nearby, alongside the tourist side.
