Casa El Conquistador

We didn’t spend time at Casa El Conquistador until our last night in March, when we discovered how badly infested Room 5202 was. Cockroaches were in the bathroom, on the curtains, inside the bed, and in our belongings. By the time we reached the airport, we found them in a passport holder too. We had to disinfect everything and throw away several items after the trip. It was filthy and deeply unpleasant. We reported the problem right away and sent clear video evidence. At first the hotel acknowledged the infestation and said they’d follow up, but then they stopped responding. Now it’s June, three months later, and there’s been no update, apology, or compensation despite our messages. We asked for a full or partial refund as a reasonable resolution and were ignored. It left us feeling that our health, comfort, and dignity didn’t matter. This was an unhygienic experience and, in our view, a sign of gross negligence and a complete lack of integrity. Casa El Conquistador was unsanitary and unprofessional, and I’d tell anyone who cares about cleanliness, safety, and basic decency to avoid it.

Over my three-night stay, I saw lots of cockroaches in the house and my room. There was old, smelly food in the refrigerator, and the neighborhood had a strong rotten smell. My wife and I asked the host for some kind of compensation, but we were left in the roach-infested room, stranded and ignored. The host did nothing, and the stay was very unpleasant.

We felt relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay at Casa El Conquistador. The place was spotlessly clean, and our cozy room was well maintained with everything we needed. It was also conveniently located for exploring the area. We had a fantastic visit and would recommend staying here.

I made a booking by mistake and canceled it just two minutes later, then contacted the host right away to apologize and explain. Casa El Conquistador still refused to refund the payment. They didn’t need to spend any time or resources preparing for my stay, so the lack of flexibility was really disheartening. It left me with a negative impression and concerns about how this business operates. I’d look elsewhere for a more customer-friendly experience.
