Casa Encantada by Porta Hotels

The rooms are beautifully decorated, though unfortunately not very spacious. The top terrace has a lovely view across the city, with Fuego na active volcano and Acatenango visible too. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke English very well. There’s a s'more swimming pool in the garden, and breakfast was very good. Lots of good restaurants are just around the corner. It’s a small, very clean hotel in an old building that’s still in really good shape and well looked after. I can recommend it.

The shared areas are cozy, the rooftop terrace is really nice, and service was good at this lovely boutique hotel. Our room was a bit small and had pretty bad damp issues. Breakfast also gave me food poisoning, though I was fine after two of the three breakfasts.

The rooftop was my favorite spot, and the service and experience were hard to beat. We stayed in the Rooftop suite, with lovely Italian linens and a whirlpool tub big enough for two. I also loved the stepping stones over the water. The rooms feel romantic, and the old world charm makes the hotel feel like stepping into another world. It’s easily one of my favorite boutique hotels in Guatemala.

This was our first stay after arriving in Antigua, and it set the tone for the rest of the trip. The rooftop breakfast was to die for, the grounds were in spectacular condition, and the rooms were charming and cozy. The service felt so warm and welcoming. We had an amazing stay.
