Hotel Panchoy

The rooms were spacious and clean, and we had a little private garden out back. There’s a nice patio to relax on, plus free tea, coffee, and water. The only snag was weak WiFi in some rooms, so we had to step outside them to get a connection.

I know a budget hotel may just offer a clean room, but we went hours and hours without running water. The staff didn't seem to think it was worth checking the cistern pump or calling a cistern truck. I don't know how they can keep the place clean or wash sheets without water. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

My room had three beds and a courtyard, and it was nice having it to myself. The staff were good, and they got my laundry done quickly. Breakfast was simple but nice, and the location made local amenities easy to reach. There was a large group staying for a party, though, and a rooftop bar next door, so the evenings got pretty loud. I didn't like that.

The bathroom was clogged, the shower too, and there was mold on the walls with ceiling paint peeling off. The beds and mattress were nothing special either. We were here for New Year, when finding another place wasn't easy, but this stay ended up costing us more than a Hilton. I'd look at other options.
