The central spot on Flores island was convenient, but the very noisy nights seriously affected our stay. Remolino nearby played loud music late, and street noise and motorbikes carried on too. Even after midnight I could barely sleep. Our room was in a separate building across the street, not the main hotel, and that hadn't been made clear beforehand. The music and traffic were even more noticeable there. The room felt closed in and poorly insulated, with doors and walls that did little to block the noise. It was more like a corridor, with little natural light, than a comfortable hotel room. The hotel should be clearer about where these rooms are and how noisy nights can get, especially for guests who need rest before early trips to Tikal. If you're a light sleeper or want a quiet vacation, this isn't a good choice.

I loved the room, one of the best I've stayed in even after lots of luxury stays, because they'd thought of the little things that make you comfortable. I was lucky to get an end room with a wide lake view, and the location was great. The bar played loud music, but turned it off at 9 pm. I only stayed one night and left too early to try breakfast, so they gave me a packed lunch. I asked for a cheese sandwich and got ham as well, so say no ham if you're vegetarian. Just be ready to carry your suitcase up the stairs.

The view is good and the location is great, but there was only one towel in our room when we arrived. They brought more after we asked, but didn't replace them the next day. The pool has only three loungers, and they're terrible.

Staff were pleasant and breakfast was good, but the room was a terrible deal at $160 CAD a night. The couch was worn right through, and the so-called apartment was across the street from the lakeside main hotel, with traffic noise and exhaust all around it. The room had no windows, only little door panels that opened, so fumes got in and there was no privacy. Hotels.com misrepresented what we were booking and scammed us. Unless you enjoy street noise and a prison-cell feel, avoid these rooms.
