Our experience was abysmal, and when we tried to discuss it and find a resolution, they disagreed and ignored us. We booked this after a long hike, hoping for a relaxing pool and sea break. The sea was too rough to swim safely, and the pool was unusable: it was empty when we woke up on the first day, then poop brown and smelling like sewage the next day. There’s nothing nearby, and no open place to eat, so we had to eat at the hotel. The food was okay but subpar for the price. Whenever we sat in the restaurant area, they blasted very loud music, which made us feel unwelcome. When we decided to leave early, the hotel couldn’t provide a taxi or other ride and arranged transport at a ridiculous price. Be warned that this isn’t in Montericco. It’s an hour and a half from that town if you don’t have a car, and there’s no public transport around this mini village of taxisco.

We won’t be back. The restaurant staff acted like they’d rather not have customers, and the customer service was lousy. The pool surface was so slippery that I fell twice. Casa Real is right next door and has excellent service and prices.

A quiet stay with the essentials, no luxury. The building is showing its age, but it’s clean and well maintained. My room was spacious and comfortable, and I rested well. The small pool would be great for children, and the beachfront restaurant-bar gives the hotel real charm. A simple, pleasant place.

The breakfast was filling and really tasty, and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. I wouldn't order lunch or dinner, though: the tacos we got were nothing like tacos. Our room was roomy and the place was quiet, but it was a bit awkward hearing the massage therapist working just outside our door 🤣. Also, bear the route in mind when planning the trip.
