The staff were very friendly, and the price was accessible. We stayed three nights in a spacious room inside the hotel, above the pool. It had good A/C and Wi-Fi plus a small balcony. The bathroom was fine, though the shower pressure was weak and only a thin stream came out. The restaurant was closed for remodeling. It's easy to reach by car and has private parking, and Isla Flores is walkable. The pool was much smaller than we expected, so we didn't use it.
We found the hotel good value, with simple but comfortable rooms that were relatively clean. The staff were lovely and accommodating, and the place felt very safe. It's just outside Flores Island, and they also have secure luggage storage after checkout.
The rooms were very clean, cleaner than at other places I've stayed. There was no smell, the pillows were clean, and the soap, shampoo, and towels were brand new. The shower was very cold at first and took about five minutes to warm up, though that may just be how Guatemala's water system works. I was there with a tour group. The food wasn't the best, and service was slow because they were short-staffed, even though we'd told them in advance that our group was large.
The hotel is only a three-minute ride from the airport and on the side toward Tikal national park, which is a plus. Parking was easy, with a few spaces out front that could get tight in peak season, plus private parking overnight. There are also small connected-room apartments with a queen bed, two double beds, a fridge, kitchenware, and a little living room. They were a convenient place to get out of the heat and relax. The outdoor pool is a big plus in the hot season, when it can reach 40°C or more, though it was only clean enough, not spotless. The rest of the place was much the same: clean enough, but not super clean. A generally good experience, without anything especially impressive or bad.
We booked through Airbnb and had a great stay, even though there were no pots or pans and similar things. The staff were all so friendly, I can't even say how much. Only a few people spoke English, but I managed to communicate using Google Translate and my poor Spanish. The restaurant was great, with really tasty food at a very good price. The rooms, corridors, and plants were all kept clean and tidy, and the room cleaning service was amazing. The pool was great for adults and even better with kids. It's about a ten-minute walk to Flores, with shops and attractions nearby. We loved the hotel's vibe, character, and staff. If we come back, we'll stay only here. Thank you! 😊
