The location is the one good thing here. Everything smells moldy, and although the rooms looked clean at first, the old linens had hair and stains on them. There’s been no hot water since December, and now it’s March. Not acceptable. I won’t stay again.

They moved us quickly when we found heavy mold in the first room, and that fast response is why I’d give the service five stars. Unfortunately, the new room still smelled like mildew on the sheets. The water barely got warm, the tub hardly drained, and it was full of soap scum. The place feels really run down, which is sad because you can tell it used to be nice. The beautiful pictures felt like getting catfished. The “save our earth” signs don’t mean much when the toilet needs five gallons or more to flush anything. Even the toothpaste was dried out.

The staff were friendly, apologetic, and professional, and they refunded us through the third party about 48 hours after our complaint. But the room problems were beyond their control, and we left after only half an hour. The building’s lobby looked spacious and well kept, but once we reached the fifth floor it felt like a different, neglected hotel. The hallway smelled of mold, and the walls and room doors were worn and moldy. Our room initially looked okay, but there were no towels. We called three times with no answer, so we went down to get some ourselves. While my husband showered after our four-hour flight and seven-hour layover, I saw that the tub wasn’t draining at all, even after we flipped the stopper both ways repeatedly. The water stayed ice cold. He took the shower anyway because we were desperate to freshen up. The toilet barely improved after five or six flushes, despite the room and bathroom signs about an “eco friendly water system.” At the desk, we were told these were among their most common complaints, especially the water issue, which affected all rooms. We asked for a refund and checked out. I hope the owner fixes this for future guests, but we won’t return.

The friendly staff I met made a good impression, but I was concerned by how hard it was to reach anyone and by the lack of hot water. The water was only tepid when I tried at 10 pm and again at noon the next day. I’d asked for an airport transfer by ticking the box, but nobody answered my calls, and my email got a reply only the following day. No one was there when I arrived. At check-in I learned they’d stopped transfers during Covid. The internet was painfully slow too. The hotel is dated, though spacious and clean, with decent furnishings, Bay views, and lower prices than nearby hotels. For one night it was manageable, but I’d have been more worried about these issues on a longer stay.
