Crowne Plaza Resort Guam

Sally at the front desk made a big difference. It was late and quiet when she put together a personal itinerary for me, and she was so cool about it. My vacation was better because of her. The room had a fantastic view, a comfortable mattress, and working A/C. It was mostly quiet, though pool noise came through around the middle of the day. Parking was easy and free, which is handy if you rent a car. I think everyone visiting Guam should rent one. I went back and forth on the rating. If a two-star hotel were the best of its kind, would it deserve five stars? This is a four-star place, and I’m giving it five for being a great four-star hotel.

Asam made our evenings at the lobby bar a real pleasure. We had booked the Club Experience and spent a lot of time there. She greeted us warmly and made our requested drinks so nicely. We kept hoping she was getting enough rest because she always seemed to be working hard. The team also made things easy for our family. Tom handled check-in and check-out smoothly, and Tony kindly stored our child’s portable freezer bag for the antibiotics. We hope Tony does well finishing his internship. We had a lovely year-end holiday at Crowne Plaza. The room was clean and well cared for, and our child enjoyed the pool. Getting straight from the pool to the beach was easy, and paddle boats and kayaking gave us plenty to do. It was a memorable, satisfying trip, and we’d happily return.

One small thing the hotel could explain better at check-in is when the pools and bar close. Apart from that, I have no complaints. The staff made me feel so welcome. Ana greets me at breakfast, and the bartenders and waitstaff are friendly and remember me since I’m there every night. When prime rib was the Infinity Bar appetizer/entree one evening, Samantha specifically asked the chef to make me something vegetarian. They brought out a beautiful plate of vegetables, and I was really touched. Thanks to Sham, RJ, Ivan, Emilio, Jun, Chammy, and the lovely lifeguards Cam and Brian too. I’ll definitely make Crowne Plaza my home in Guam next time I’m here.

The suite had a lovely ocean-view balcony and plenty of space, and the staff were welcoming throughout. The Infinity Bar was a highlight, with a great atmosphere and Jun being a fantastic bartender. Our lounge-access package included buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and drinks with appetizers there from 5-7pm, plus coffee and soft drinks all day. There isn’t a separate lounge. Housekeeping was slow, with late-afternoon cleaning and towels often delayed. Breakfast wasn’t great either, and there were lots of flies around the buffet. The two small pools are split between kids and adults. There’s a small rocky beach in front, but a short walk takes you to soft sand. The airport is about 10 minutes away. Even with those drawbacks, it was comfortable and good value for the price. The package perks make it worth considering.
