The free laundry on the first floor was a real help. We picked up a $1 detergent pack at the Bon Voyage store nearby and were able to wash and dry our clothes easily. Staff were friendly and easy to talk to, and the room was spacious with good air conditioning. Guam Reef Hotel has clearly aged since opening in 1974, but I didn’t find anything major to complain about. We didn’t get to try the breakfast buffet. The complimentary water refill setup was another nice feature.

The front desk and management made the stay feel personal and flexible. Marites Blackstar deserves a special thank you for being so professional and kind, with that real island hospitality that made us feel at home. We’ve stayed at several places on the island, all with their own pros and cons, but Guam Reef views stands out. The rooms were clean, the ocean views were stunning, and the spot in the heart of Tumon is hard to beat. Stay open, be flexible, and enjoy Tumon Bay.

We loved sitting on the balcony early in the morning with delicious coffee and the ocean in front of us. It was our first trip to Guam, and the hotel made a great impression: the room was clean and cool, the service was great, and the location was convenient. The infinity pool was amazing too. Just keep the doors closed so the island humidity stays out.

I’m staying at the Leaf Hotel now, and this has been awful. We booked two rooms, waited three hours after being told they weren’t ready, and only got checked in at 7 PM. Nobody offered an apology or a late checkout. Once we finally got into a room, the bathtub stopper was broken, the floor was messy, and water was leaking from the bathroom ceiling. I have three more days booked, but I can’t understand how this place is rated four stars. Truly horrifying.
