That pool was a welcome break after spending a long day in taxis. The rooms were good, though the food was poor. The rooftop bar, which was due to open at the end of November 2024, looked nice but seemed out of place in the city. Maybe it’ll become a popular spot in Bissau, or maybe it’ll just feel like an empty, awkward space. A hotel full of contradictions.

The internet was my main frustration. It was so slow that I couldn't work on my laptop. The standard room rate starts at $140 a night. That said, my room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff were friendly. Their English is limited, though they speak French, Portuguese, and local languages fluently. It's a good hotel in Bissau. Have a good stay here. Cheers!

The bed was comfortable, and the hotel shuttle can be arranged on request. Otherwise, you'll need to check the airport shuttle times at the front desk. Food wasn't very exciting at about $30 a plate. Apparently this is one of the best hotels in Bissau, perhaps the best, but there was a bad smell near the second-floor elevators for about a week, from May 31 to June 8, 2023. I don't know what caused it.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were very helpful. The rooms are roomy and clean, the lobby is modern, and there's a restaurant I didn't try. It's a brand new hotel in a safe, central spot, with a nice rooftop pool for relaxing. The internet was generally good, and they even provide a free shuttle from the airport. No real complaints. I'd definitely recommend it.
