The rooms are spacious, bright with natural light, and the hotel is brand new and right next to Ogle. But you hear a lot from outside because the soundproofing is poor, including traffic and people talking and laughing by the pool. Weekends get especially loud with parties. Housekeeping needs to be more timely. Sometimes the room wasn't cleaned until I called, and the hydration areas weren't working, so I had to ask for water or buy extra bottles. During my stay, we also had a water issue at peak time that lasted 4-5 hours. Staff didn't let guests know what was happening or how long it might take. Most staff were lacking courtesy and manners when speaking with guests, though a few people at the restaurant were exceptions.

I moved here after a bad stay at an old favorite hotel, arriving the day after this one officially opened. For almost two weeks, I got to know a lot of the staff while they worked hard to sort out the challenges we faced together. They were great at every turn, and I'll come back on future visits to Guyana for that reason alone. The restaurant food was decent too. Shout out to the chef. The menu is small, but the dishes were well done.

I'll come back, but they should make sure reservations are properly confirmed first. They should also check with the guest that the wine is the one they ordered before opening it, and make sure dishes arrive as they're described on the menu.

The pillows were so good that I wanted a whole set of my own. I stayed on the grand opening night, and the staff were friendly and the facilities very good. It was superb, and I'll definitely stay again.

That so-called complimentary breakfast for two came to over $14,000 GYD, about $70 USD. The eggs and bacon were undercooked and the food was bad. I get that this is a high-end place, but charging that much for food of that quality felt like robbery. One star.
