Aspire Plus

I spent 9 days at the Aspire Hotel and left with new friends. The owner, his family, and the staff are what made the stay so amazing, even though the hotel itself is very nice. I can't speak highly enough about the experience. I'd recommend this establishment 100 out of 100. Thank you.

Thirteen of us stayed from Oct 28 to Nov 2, and all 11 of my Jamaican friends who were visiting for the first time loved their experience, including the stay, food, and Aspire team. By the end, Team Aspire had made all 13 of us feel like family. We all agreed we'd choose it first when we return. I booked directly with the hotel, and the team was amazing from my first message through checkout. Friendly staff, comfort, and interaction with the owners all get 10/10. They handled every concern right away and went above and beyond, including getting us reservations for 30 people at the Outside Bar. We had a blast there, and you should check it out. They arranged safe taxis, and the owner even drove some of my friends to our event. Aspire is centrally located, within walking distance of a casino and a market where you can get fresh fruit daily. Ask for a room with a view for a chance to see a lovely sunset or sunrise. There's also a bar and space for private events. Breakfast and lunch can be made to your preference if requested, and breakfast was delicious every morning. This boutique hotel gives you more personal service than a large chain, and even in the heart of the city, they made sure we felt safe at all times.

Though the room is small and compact, I felt very safe and comfortable here, and the place is friendly. It's a new, clean, modern hotel tucked into a busy area of central Georgetown, with reasonable prices and excellent service from all the staff. The main door locks itself, and the receptionist isn't always there to let you in. I was locked out for about 30 minutes until the security guard who lives across the street came to help. Even so, it's an excellent place to stay, and I'll come back.

The staff were a real plus. We arrived on the Diwali holiday, when shops were closing early, and the owner asked where we were headed for dinner. He recommended somewhere and drove us there, though it was only a 380m walk, then offered to wait while we picked up the food. The reception and breakfast lady answered questions about an airport taxi and helped arrange one for our safety. The room was well maintained and matched the photos, with clean, soft linens and AC that worked well in the 30 C heat. No bugs or mosquitoes in the room or hotel, despite the hot, humid weather. The windows aren't soundproof, so traffic and music came through, though it didn't bother us. There's an elevator that can be moody, and we took the stairs when it got stuck downstairs. No amenities are provided, so bring your own. Breakfast is complimentary from 7.30am, or 8am during the holiday. There was bread and condiments, bacon and turkey bacon, fried eggs, beans, waffles, watermelon, coffee, and juice. Given the city's overall infrastructure, this is a good place to stay, and they have the necessities down pat.
