Grand Coastal Hotel

The peaceful, welcoming atmosphere and all the laughter made my mother and me feel at home. The place is gorgeous, carefully kept, and spotless, a real breath of fresh air. Huge thanks to the whole team, especially Ryan, Leshawn, Maddison, Bibi, and Robert. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality made us feel so cared for. It was more than a visit, it was a stay full of comfort, joy, and connection that we'll never forget. We appreciate you all so much ❤️

I've eaten at the restaurant twice with my family, most recently for my engagement dinner, and both visits were impeccable for food, service, and atmosphere. The curated menu had Christmas rice, broccoli stuffed chicken, fish in a rich creamy sauce, and passion fruit cheesecake for dessert. 10/10 across the board. Tomika was our waitress both times, attentive and pleasant, and made sure we were well looked after. If things stay as they are, I'll definitely be back.

Randy at the front desk left us wandering the streets of Guyana at 2am, looking for somewhere to stay, even though we'd paid for a room. We were only planning to sleep overnight and leave before the policy checkout time in the morning. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I booked and paid directly on the hotel's website for the day we arrived, and entered our 2 AM arrival time as the site requested because of our flight. Randy said we couldn't check in until 4pm, claiming that was the policy. When I explained how the website had let me book and enter the arrival time, he was rude, impolite, discourteous, and disrespectful. He falsely claimed we'd booked through a third-party site and kept giving us the runaround. Rather than accommodate us, he tried to sell us the same room we'd already paid for at double the cost, as if he meant to defraud us. The time discrepancy was their error, not ours, but Randy wouldn't give us the room.

The customer service here is top tier, especially compared with other places I've visited. I stayed before and got what I needed then, and I keep coming back to Grand Coastal, partly because I like the variety at brunch. I've had some good meals and some just okay ones, but still haven't had that wow factor meal. It's a great place, and I'm looking forward to the new look and maybe finally having that standout meal!
