Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui

We found it easy to unwind here after full days out. The staff were warm, professional, and efficient, and there are more than four in-house dining options with really good food and service. The hotel also puts you right among Hong Kong’s restaurants, shopping malls, and street markets, so there’s plenty to see, eat, and buy nearby. We thought staying at Hyatt Regency in Tsim Sha Tsui was one of the best decisions of our trip.

We were lucky to have Stephanie sort out a club-level harbor-view room, even though the hotel was fully booked and no upgrades were available that weekend. Globalist check-in is in the lounge on the 23rd floor. The lounge was great, and housekeeping was friendly. Our Wi-Fi was fast and the shower pressure strong. Amenities were adequate, though from 2026 they started charging for plastic items like shower caps and razors. That’s a Hong Kong thing, not Hyatt. The location is very central, with the hotel connected to a mall and subway stop, food and shops all around, and cheap Uber rides available anytime. An Uber to the airport was US$35 and took 40 minutes. We had fantastic breakfasts in the Cafe, and used the 40% in-house guest discount for the HK$888+ weekend seafood buffet. It was a great spread, and we liked the HR buffet better than the one at the Grand Hyatt. Thanks to Samuel Wong and Emma Lam in the Cafe for helping us so graciously every morning. I came back this evening for Chinese food at Hoi Yat Heen on the 3rd floor. The tables were large and comfortable, the room had a pleasant feel, and every dish was delicious, especially the fried rice. The staff were cheerful and attentive, and the food quality was excellent. I’d stayed at this hotel as temporary accommodation about 4-5 years ago during the COVID outbreak. The room was spacious and comfortable for sleeping, but the limited natural light made it less suitable for long hours of work. Being right by the MTR and K11 mall made daily life easy, with restaurants, shops, and other conveniences close at hand.

The lobster dinner buffet was a highlight for us, with lots of seafood and fresh, tasty lobster. Breakfast was good too, with a nice mix of Chinese and international food. Our room was clean and looked after daily. The shower gel was empty for the first two days and wasn’t replaced, but staff refilled it promptly once we asked. It was an enjoyable week. The hotel sits inside a mall, so shopping or grabbing a meal was easy. There are also plenty of nearby places serving authentic Chinese food. Most places were walkable, and taxis were easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout.
