JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong

The dinner buffet was amazing, and I'd definitely return for that. Breakfast was just okay. The staff were the best part: they seemed happy in their jobs, always welcoming us and keen to help. As a titanium member of Marriott, though, it didn't seem to matter that we'd stayed over 100 nights with Marriott worldwide that year. I was disappointed they didn't treat us any differently. Only in the last three nights did they move us to a suite, where we could finally organize our luggage and feel like real VIPs. I was here 10 years ago, and this time the hotel felt like a more run-down version of the same place for the price. Our first room was extremely tiny for three people, one an infant, with no space for luggage. It seemed more suited to a weekend or overnight stay. It's not very kid friendly: the only thing for kids was a stuffed animal, with nowhere for them to go in or around the hotel. Staff had no suggestions for places to take them, so be ready to travel some distance to find a play area. The hotel is right by the subway, which makes it easy to get around once you figure out how Hong Kong works.

The executive lounge staff were so nice and sincere, and deserve a special mention. The evening drinks session had really good food, both in quality and quantity. Breakfast at JW Cafe was substantial, with an impressive range of choices. The bellhop and doormen were impressively prompt and efficient. We booked two twin rooms from end November to early December 2025. The location is very good, connected to Pacific Place mall, though the rooms are old and show their age.

The location made our commute around the city smooth and fast, with the hotel inside the mall and by the metro. We chose JW Marriott because my son wanted a nicer hotel in HK. The room was compact and dated, but the receptionist upgraded us to a corner unit with wraparound harbour views, and I'm grateful to the hotel staff. They worked hard to make guests feel welcome and treated our platinum status much better than back home.

During our month-long stay before relocating, the team's personal care helped our family relax, slow down and enjoy our time together. The luxury felt genuine, considerate and intentional, without being excessive. JW Marriott Hong Kong lives up to its promise exceptionally well. Even in the middle of a lively, busy city, it keeps a calm, refined atmosphere that puts guests at ease, with understated elegance and consistently thoughtful, attentive service.
