The calm, residential feel of Tai Hang made this a nice break from the busier parts of Hong Kong. Local cafés and restaurants are close by, and Causeway Bay is easy to reach. Little Tai Hang at The Corner House has a heritage feel to its building, while the rooms and interiors are modern, clean and thoughtfully designed. The rooms are comfortable, with many looking out over Victoria Harbour and the surrounding city. A stylish, cosy boutique hotel with a pleasant neighbourhood feel.

We had a wonderful two-week stay at Little Tai Hang (Corner House) in December, and the harbour view from our high-floor room was amazing, morning and night. The MTR is a little farther away than I’d like, but plenty of buses stop just steps from the hotel. There are also cute coffee shops, restaurants and bars nearby, plus a Park 'n Shop for quick groceries. The whole place felt like home. Our housekeeper kept it spotless and tidy, and all the staff were attentive and quick to help. Dorothy was a huge help during booking and got us the suite type we wanted. It’s very family- and baby-friendly, with a crib, high chair, space heater and extra clothing rack offered. We’d definitely come back and recommend it.

The view from our room was breathtaking, and we really enjoyed our three nights here. It has the feel of a hotel and serviced apartment combined. Laundry facilities were a great bonus, and there’s a well-equipped gym plus a communal area with Nespresso machines and snacks. Housekeeping kept everything spotless, topping things up and tidying without being asked. They even neatly gathered the loose coins we’d left on the table into a little basket, such a thoughtful touch. The location is convenient, with cafés, local cha chan teng and a 7 eleven around the corner. I’d stay again.

This was my fourth stay at Little Tai Hang. I’ve tried both the garden-view and harbour-view rooms. The garden-view room doesn’t have a kitchenette. I like the room design, the smart TV and speaker for setting a nice mood, the great shower pressure, and how clean everything is. There’s a 5/F common area that’s useful for working, and I’ve always found the janitor lady lovely. She greets us with a big smile when we pass. Tai Hang has cafés and restaurants, Victoria Park is nice for a walk, and three supermarkets are about five minutes away. Tin Hau station is a six-minute walk, and the heart of Causeway bay is within walking distance for shopping. I love the place and would like to return, but there are things they could improve. Hospitality doesn’t feel up to five-star standard. When typhoon no.8 was hoisted at checkout, they didn’t offer a late checkout, and only agreed to extend me until 2pm after I asked several times. In that extreme weather, I expected less strictness. I’ve also spent my birthday there a couple of times, but even with my ID card they didn’t notice or do anything. A little birthday card would have made me feel more welcome. On my fourth visit I also learned about the gym and fifth-floor common area only after asking, since reception hadn’t mentioned them.

Little Tai Hang has a relaxed local-neighbourhood feel, with a cute café downstairs and plenty of good local food nearby. It’s still easy to get around the city, even though it’s tucked away from the touristy areas. I booked a Studio Luxury Harbour View room, cosy and stylish, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The floor-to-ceiling windows brought in lots of daylight, and waking up to Victoria Harbour each morning was a treat. The staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the place and would definitely recommend it if you want somewhere less touristy in Hong Kong.
