The concierge team were lovely, always friendly and helpful, and the Wan Chai location was excellent, close to tram stops. The room was very large by HK standards. Still, I doubt I'll return. Each of the corridor, room and bathroom had its own odd, unpleasant smell. The shower setup was a problem. The bathtub was so narrow that standing in it to shower felt dangerous, and I slipped twice while turning. The light shower curtain kept blowing inward when fully closed, so I had to leave it partly open. Water got all over the floor, and I kept brushing against the curtain. The shower head bracket was badly designed too: it let the head fall into the tub twice, and the first time it sprayed cold water all over me. There was only one wall socket, nowhere near the bed. The two USB ports beside the bed couldn't fast-charge. Compared with hotels in Singapore, London and San Francisco, this felt more like a 2.5 or 3 star place than a 4 star. I'm not sure why its ratings on Google and elsewhere are so high.

Getting around was easy: the A11 airport bus stops almost right outside, Wan Chai MTR is under a five-minute walk, and Circle K and 7-Eleven are at the nearby corners. Lots of places to eat around there too. Our twin room wasn't especially spacious, but it was roomy enough. The shower had strong pressure and steady hot water. Housekeeping cleaned the room and changed towels daily, and check-in and checkout were hassle-free.

Clean room, easy check-in, and enough space for what I needed. The location is great and the price is good. You can take a bus straight from the airport and get off about 10 meters away. It's not the best hotel I've stayed at, but for what you get, I think it deserves a boost to its average rating.

WanChai MTR is close by, so getting to the attractions was easy, and there are so many restaurants nearby you'll be spoilt for choice. The reception and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. I had a really enjoyable stay, with comfortable beds and pillows, and fresh towels every day. I'll definitely return.

Jan 2025: The family room was a good size and the location was good, but the lingering cigarette smell spoiled it. It was supposed to be non-smoking, yet previous guests had clearly ignored that. They should install smoke alarms and warn guests who smoke. We had to keep the air con blasting just to make the air somewhat breathable.
