Metroplace Olympic Hotel

The room was an unlivable mess, and this was the worst hotel experience of my life. The paint was peeling from damp walls, and the bad smell seemed to mix moisture, smoke despite the non-smoking room, and poor maintenance. The room itself, including the toilet, was only about 60 sq ft despite costing close to 7k. There was barely space to move. The toilet was right beside the basin, so my legs went under it when I sat down, and the shower was roughly 3 ft by 3 ft. The location in the city, close to the metro, was the one good thing. The building felt old and rickety, the street was dirty, and water from the buildings dripped on my head as I walked in. The reception was tiny but functional, and the people there were helpful.

They took our money and refused to refund the remaining days, even though we cancelled well before the 24-hour cutoff. Customer service wasn’t helpful, they just wanted our money and to run. I hope this hotel goes out of business. Don’t waste your time or money booking here.

The room they gave us was so dirty I wondered whether anyone had even swept the floor. There was dust everywhere, probably built up over months. They did replace the towels each day, which was kind, but still, the room was filthy.

Worst hotel stay I’ve had. The wifi didn’t work, and the rooms were worse than places costing three times less. There were no lamps, and everything looked worn out and outdated.
