The harbour view is a real highlight, and there's also a viewing area on the upper-deck roof. Ramada Hong Kong Harbour View is in central Hong Kong and part of the Wyndham hotel chain, about five minutes on foot from Sai Ying Pun MTR. Restaurants and convenience stores are close by. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean, with towels, shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, slippers and other amenities. The price is a little high, but felt worthwhile compared with other nearby places. Check-in and checkout were quick and smooth. Be aware that room cards stop working after 11:00 AM, though staff can reactivate them if you're late. It's better to check out early and leave bags in the lobby. Storage felt secure and well organized, but costs HKD 150 per bag for 24 hours. The elevators get crowded at peak times. Breakfast is available at a very reasonable price. A comfortable, reliable stay in a convenient spot.

The rooftop pool was the standout for me, with views of the skyline and parts of Victoria Harbour. Rooms are compact, as is typical in Hong Kong, but clean and functional, with Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a mini fridge. There are local restaurants, cafes and convenience stores nearby, and you can catch the classic Hong Kong Tramways close by. Ramada Hong Kong Harbour View is a good value if you're after easy public transport on Hong Kong Island. Sai Ying Pun MTR Station is only around 3-5 minutes away on foot, making Central District and Sheung Wan convenient to reach.

We liked the harbour view, and the breakfast restaurant was a bright spot. On the third floor, the staff reserved a table for Diamond members and took good care with our vegetarian meals. Manager Emilie worked hard to keep people seated and served promptly, and made veggie noodles for us every day. We were grateful for the hot coffee and little of water she brought us. Annie at the front desk was also helpful, suggesting things to do while we waited for check-in. We stayed five nights, and the location worked well for ferries, the MTR and sightseeing. But despite giving early notice that we'd arrive early, we sat in the waiting room for four hours before the room was ready. As a Diamond member, I got no special recognition, room upgrade or welcome gift. The rooms are tiny, especially if you have more than one large suitcase, and housekeeping was a letdown. Towels weren't replaced daily, we had to wait or call the front desk for cleaning, and staff were rude at times or refused extra towels. Three stars feels generous given the small rooms and poor housekeeping, though breakfast staff were great. Take the ding-ding tram to the harbor, it's the best. For Kowloon, we took the Star ferry and found the KBM open bus tour for HKD 40 well worth it; Saturday or Sunday seemed best. Uber is cheaper for longer trips.

The hotel is close to the A1 exit at Saiying Poon MTR, though it's a bit of a walk within the station. The area has plenty of eateries, and things cost less in this western part of HK island. Airport travel is easier and less crowded from here, as fewer people live in the area. It's two MTR stops to Central, then you can walk to HK Station for the airport express, about 40 minutes to the airport. Buying a return airport express ticket saves HKD25. Breakfast is average and inexpensive by HK standards. At busy times, the four small elevators take ages to go up and down. Each fits about nine adults without luggage, a squeeze for a hotel with over 350 rooms. The room is tiny, and there's hardly space to turn in the shower. The hair dryer was a disaster, an old wall-connected machine that blows hot air, working on the reverse principle of a vacuum cleaner.

I had a wonderful stay, including on my last trip at Christmas 2025, when the staff welcomed me so warmly. Room service was great, and the neighborhood felt nicely put together without being packed or deserted. The prices and hospitality were both so good that I'd highly recommend the hotel. They also speak English pretty well.
