Lander Inn

The room was cold, and when I asked how to turn on the heat, I was told the hotel doesn't have any. My first room was a tiny single, with a bed about 24" wide and 5 ' long, hard as a rock. The door hit the bed and wouldn't open all the way. The carpet was torn and filthy, and water from the tiny shower leaked onto it. There was mold around the shower too. They moved me in the morning to a larger room for an extra charge. It was okay, but still had dirty, wet carpet, mold in the bathroom, and filthy windows. The front desk staff were all right, though not especially pleasant. The woman who cleaned the room was always cheerful and polite. This was likely the worst hotel stay of my extensive travels, and all in all a very unpleasant place.

We stayed as a family from October 17-22, 2025. Our check-in was quick, and the reception staff were accommodating. The rooms were clean, and they changed the bedding and towels each day. We did notice a cigarette smell, which was our only concern. Still, we had a pleasant stay.

The rooms are a decent size, but the safety locker didn't work at all. There's no restaurant in the hotel, and the hotel's common areas and rooms have an unbearable cigarette smoke smell, even though the rooms are called non-smoking.

There was a strong smoke smell in the corridors. The AC was running full blast and basically covered it up. Someone smoking in their room set off the alarm once. The Wi-Fi in the rooms was awful, with barely any signal. At least there's a decent amount of space for the price.
