We had a really nice meal here. The food was thoughtfully made, with authentic flavors and a bit of a refined touch, and dining felt relaxed and intimate with nature all around. The staff were friendly and attentive. Hacienda San Lucas sits above town amid greenery, with beautiful views across the Copán Valley. The rustic, warm setting makes it feel special, whether you come for dinner, a sunset drink, or a longer stay. It’s a peaceful, memorable spot alongside a visit to the nearby Copán Ruins.

The food was delicious, full of flavor, and finger-licking good. They have soups too if you want something warm. The views are amazing, and there’s a quiet yoga area nearby with a great view. Their WiFi runs on Starlink, so the signal is strong, which is helpful if you have kids who want to stay on their phones. There’s also a friendly little kids’ park.

We only stopped in for dinner, and the food was some of the best I’ve had in this country. The view was breathtaking, and I left wishing we’d booked a stay here. Karla was great. She handled our dinner reservation and helped arrange horseback riding and a zip line adventure. Both experiences were amazing and added a lot to our trip. We didn’t stay overnight this time, but I’d love to come back and spend more time here. Highly recommend the food and the experiences.

The rooms were very clean, and we had a great time. The food was delicious, and the food and drinks at the second bar were made from scratch. The views are breathtaking, and the place made us feel at home. If you’re in the area, this is the coziest hotel around. The hotel is up in the hills, and the road gets rocky and turns to dirt near the top. We got there in a car without AWD and had no problems, but be prepared for that stretch. It was well worth the drive.

The setting was the best part of our stay. The place sits among trees, flowers, and other plants, and we saw groups of wild macaws perched overhead and flying past. What an incredible sight. There’s a small restaurant and an outdoor bar on an overlook above the valley and river, a lovely place to have a cool drink after a hot morning exploring Copán. We stayed while visiting Copan arqueológico site. Our room was rustic and basic but usable; the bathroom felt a little too basic, though that’s understandable in a nature reserve. The property is a couple of miles outside the city and a bit off the beaten path, but a quick tuktuk ride gets you to and from the center. We enjoyed our stay.
