The room was spacious and nice, and after weeks of travelling, this was the best shower so far. The mattress and pillows were great quality too. The bed was about 120/140cm wide, which worked for us but may feel a bit small to others. The mountain view was superb, and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was good, and I’d also recommend the tamales for lunch. Laundry came back in perfect condition within one day. A couple of things to know: the bathroom walls don’t reach the ceiling, which is unfortunately common in this region, and breakfast is served on the terrace outside the rooms from 7-9am. Most mornings, the chairs, tables and other people woke me around 7. Once I was up and having breakfast myself, though, that was a plus ;)

The staff were super kind and helpful, and this sweet, charming hotel is well worth the price for Copan Ruinas. Mornings can be quite noisy, with cars, breakfast being prepared and people around. That was the only downside.

We were staying next door in the hostel and only came over for the restaurant, but the bread sandwich was so good. There’s fast service, a great terrace with a view, and everything is made fresh. You can get it to take away too, and they pack it well for the road.

Casa de Cafe had a home-away-from-home feel, with a simple but beautiful homestay atmosphere. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have hot showers. A small fridge would have been perfect. The owner and her staff are very friendly. Breakfast was good quality, and the coffee was spot on. Power outages happen often in town, but you hardly notice them because Casa de Cafe runs a generator when the grid goes down.

The hotel has good service, and the staff were really helpful. I liked the terrace too, it’s a cute, quiet place for breakfast and coffee.
