The location is private and the staff are very friendly, and the owner was kind too. I’d stay again for those reasons. The beds and pillows are old, the hot water only worked on the first day, and the curtains need to block out more light for better sleep. I didn’t like being woken by a breakfast knock every morning, especially since they don’t serve breakfast on Monday. The pool was dirty, with several stains on the walls.

The breakfast was awful: a tired slice of avocado and other “delights” were already plated and covered in cling film. The chalets felt like a seedy holiday camp, and the paths were choked with weeds. There’s a river nearby, plus a big swimming pool and restaurant close by. When we arrived, loud music was thumping, but thankfully it had stopped by the time we got back from eating in town.

They handled our large group at the restaurant in an organized way, and the food came out in good time.

The food service is poor, and the pool costs extra, 150 lempiras for an adult and 100 for a child. I wouldn’t recommend coming. A few hours later, the food gave me food poisoning for a day, so don’t waste your time and money here.
