Dubrovnik Rooms

The view is amazing, and the rooms are lovely. The kitchen has good equipment, though there’s no microwave. Be prepared for around 100 steps to reach the rooms, which could be tricky with heavy luggage. You’ll need a bus for the Old Town, and they run every 30 minutes.

I liked having a kitchen, and the terrace had a really nice view. The location was fine for me, even with a bit of walking, and the air conditioning worked well. The room felt quite dated, though, and cleanliness was a problem: dusty shelves, cobwebs, someone’s socks under the bed, and crumbs on the bedside table. There wasn’t any soap in the toilet for washing hands either.

The view is absolutely fantastic, and the room was comfortable. The shower was good, and the kitchen had a stove and fridge, so we could make food. There are lots of stairs through the streets to get to the rooms, so a taxi or bus makes sense with suitcases. Buses go from the main road, which means more stairs to reach them, but it’s manageable when you’re not carrying anything.

We left after just one day instead of finishing our stay. The place smelled strongly, was extremely dirty, had mold all over the bathroom, and the towels and beds smelled too. There was old dust in the closets. The photos on booking.com were completely outdated, if they were ever real. Although the map makes it look close to the center, walking there isn’t really possible because the house is near the top of a hill and hard to access. When we politely asked the owner for a refund, he was very rude. A really bad experience. There are lots of better places for the same money, so avoid it.
