Hostel Sol

For one of the most expensive rooms, it was one of my worst nights of sleep. The AC kept blowing straight at my head even after I adjusted it. My partner and I couldn’t sleep close together because the two beds had a gap and slid apart. The pillow was too big and hard, so I spent the night trying to find a position that didn’t hurt my neck. At that price, they could provide two or three pillow options so guests can pick what suits them.

Franco deserves a special thanks for helping us book activities and get more out of our time in the city. He went out of his way, and it made a real difference. All the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Our room was clean and had a great view, which made the stay more special. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location worked well for the port and ferry, though getting to the Old Town took longer, and figuring out the right bus stop and bus was a bit challenging. Once we arrived, no one was at reception. We called for staff, waited over 10 minutes, then phoned the hostel to get someone to check us in, so the service didn’t start off well. Apart from that, we had a nice stay. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel, with good facilities, large beds, towels, and a nice bathroom.

It feels more like a hotel than a hostel: the rooms are spacious, private, and have their own bathrooms. Views are nice on both sides, and the area is quiet, aside from the occasional guest shouting in the corridors. The Old Town is far, but the main bus station is very close, so you can get around in a 20' ride. The kitchen and other shared spaces were clean and well equipped. Wifi could be better, but it’s really good value.
