Jele Rooms

The host was friendly and kept in touch, and the check-in directions were very clear. Our room at Jele Rooms was small, as expected from the Expedia listing, but the space was used well. It was very clean, and the renovated bathroom was clean too. They provide a kettle, mugs, glasses, cutlery, and plates. We picked up instant coffee at the convenience store two steps from the apartment building and used the kettle for morning coffee. For a comfortable, easy stay in Dubrovnik, I recommend it. It’s about a 30-minute walk to the old town, with hills and lots of stairs, good exercise after all that gelato, LOL. La Luna and the Rusica bakery are just 1-2 minutes down the street. The common area has a fridge, though keep an eye on your rakija. It’s a nice area and a great spot to park, but the Old Town is quite a walk if you’re going on foot. The room is small but pleasant and clean, and the bathroom is tiny but decent.

There’s private parking for two cars, plus a shared kitchen and fridge that I didn’t use. The room was modern, very clean, and quiet. It’s dark and a little humid, but the AC makes it fine. The old city is about a half-hour walk away, or you can take a bus or Uber for around 30kn. A good option for a short stay.

The ladies running Jele Rooms were very friendly, and I still found it the best value I’ve come across in Dubrovnik. The location is a bit far from everything, and my “devices” seemed to think the room itself was too far from the nearest WiFi router. It was clean and an okay size, but the kitchen completely took over the room, so it felt a bit like sleeping in a kitchen with a bed where the table would be.
