The water and the spot where the kayaks set off are right beside it, with the Fortress nearby too. The old town is only about a three-minute walk away. We stayed three nights in Dubrovnik, and this was an ideal base.

The location was a real plus: close to the old town but tucked into a quieter area. Our superior suite had a comfy bed and a nice balcony. It was a decent stay, though at this price I'd expect better value, and I think you could find a more budget friendly place of similar quality if you don't need anything fancy. A few things made the stay frustrating. The shower was fixed at such an awkward angle that the water went over my head, even though I'm 5'7. Both the bathroom and kitchen plumbing kept giving off a nasty smell. Soap down the drain or toilet helped, but it wasn't pleasant. The shower door came off its sliding track several times, and the wardrobe slider kept sticking too. On nearly every evening the internet went down for about an hour. It might have been the provider or the weather, but alongside the other problems it was annoying.

The location was very good, and the place was clean. But the shower pressure was a real problem. There wasn't any shampoo, soap, tea, or coffee.

A one-bedroom apartment with a balcony and fully equipped kitchen, and helpful staff who gave us recommendations. It's in Pile, just three minutes from the Old Town entrance, near Lovrijenac fortress and the famous Game of Thrones locations. The area is quieter but has plenty of amenities. Great location!
