Old Town Finest

The apartment was clean and roomy enough for our family of four. There were plenty of fresh towels for each three day stretch, and the towels were changed every three days. The AC cooled the place well in the hot summer, and even with the note saying a drained hot water tank needs 30 minutes to reheat, there was enough hot water for all four of us to shower. A hairdryer was provided, but no shower gel or shampoo. There was a lot of bird noise from about 6 am, and because the rooms are close to the stairs, people going up and down could be heard. The cinema just outside our windows ran from 9 to 11 pm every night, with the audience only metres away, so the movies were noisy. I was okay with the sound and still had a comfortable stay, but people's tolerance for noise varies, so be aware. The bin was small, and bin liners would have made it easier.

The apartment was clean, well equipped, and in a great location. But once we were shown to it, the host barely explained how anything worked, and the power kept cutting out during the night. Luckily it was cool enough outside to open the windows, though the cold shower was no fun.

I couldn't check in, so I don't know whether the apartment is nice. If you're traveling from another country, the phone number they provide may not work, and you can't email the apartment directly, which makes arranging to meet and get the key difficult. I paid for two nights but couldn't stay, despite trying everything I could: calling the manager, emailing the booking company, and ringing the apartment doorbell. The owner never responded, though they were happy to take my money. I can't blame them for the communication problems, but this was very stressful. There are easier places to stay, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was clean and very spacious, and the owner was friendly. The location is great, though our check-in had somehow been forgotten, and a local man had to call so the door could be opened. The main downside is the outdoor movie theater right below the window. It's hard to sleep before the movie finishes at around 11.
