Royal Princess Hotel

The hotel is very clean and fabulous, though a little dated. It’s just a few minutes by taxi from the old Town, with a beautiful bay and promenade nearby. I loved that it’s away from cruise ships and big crowds. You’ll need a car or taxi, although walking is possible if you don’t mind the roughly 3.5 miles or more.

The infinity pool above the sea was incredible, and the views across the Croatian Adriatic, with its clear water, islands, and reefs, looked like a postcard. We had a fantastic stay from start to finish. Our spacious, beautiful rooms were made for comfort and had spectacular sea views. Staff across the hotel were amazing, including guest relations, who arranged a boat tour of the Islands and transport to Dubrovnik’s Old City without any fuss. The food was outstanding at every restaurant. At Zoe’s, the shrimp risotto was delicious, and the wine selection was fantastic. The whole place brings together relaxation, luxury, and warm hospitality, whether you’re travelling as a couple or a family. We left refreshed and already thinking about coming back.

I felt like a king at this resort, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone thinking of travelling to Croatia. The beach areas and views were incredible, the food was top notch, and the buffet was fantastic. There are loads of restaurants and bars on the huge property, with enough choice for everyone. Staff were attentive and exceptional, and the front desk was a big help with our car rental and boat tour bookings. Everyone spoke English very well, which was a huge benefit. The resort sits beside a beautiful walkway called the promenade, following the Adriatic coast. From there you can get to many other beaches, restaurants, and local grocery stores. Dubrovnik’s popular downtown area is only a five-minute bus ride or Uber away, with endless things to do. This was the most breathtaking resort I’ve ever visited.

The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms were lovely. We also made good use of the gym and spa, and the promenade is right there. The restaurant is very expensive, though. We arrived at 11pm and, even though there was a night room service menu, were told they had nothing left when we tried to order a sandwich.
