The Byron Dubrovnik

The owners were generous with their time and shared lots of useful information. John’s recommendations were spot on, and the nearby swimming spot with a bar right next to it was a top feature. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed in Dubrovnik. In such a busy city, this hotel’s location in the Old City is perfect if you’re staying a few nights. I’d highly recommend it.

The hosts made us feel welcome right away with a short introduction to the city, and were more than accommodating. We stayed in the charming Cathedral Room and slept peacefully. We didn’t hear other guests, and the bed was comfortable. There was some noise from the restaurant below, but the shutters and the earplugs they kindly provided, which we didn’t end up needing, meant it wasn’t a problem. The shower pressure was the best I’ve ever had in Europe. We’d absolutely stay here again if we return to Dubrovnik.

Jon was a friendly and very helpful owner, and staying here made our Dubrovnik trip memorable. After exploring the charming city, we had a comfortable, relaxing evening in the clean, romantic room. It had excellent air conditioning, underfloor heating, and a kitchenette stocked with dishes and cookware, so we could make breakfast in the room.

We rented a studio apartment, and it was perfect: nicely decorated, with a comfy bed and pillows, and a great location inside the walls. The service was fantastic too. We met Sonja at Kawa coffee when we arrived, and they let us wait there until our room at another property was ready. That place had broken air conditioning and didn’t work out, so I messaged Sonja. She and her husband came to help quickly and found us a room at the Byron. Sonja was a huge help with all sorts of recommendations during our stay.
