The location was described as a 15-minute walk from the main bus station. That was wrong. The place is at the top of a hill, and while arriving by car is fine, getting there on foot means climbing almost 385!! ladder steps. Check-in was chaotic. Although it was self check-in, nobody sent instructions beforehand, so I had to call two phone numbers to get the locker box code for the keys. There was no air conditioning in the main room, and the old unit in the living room wasn't working either. The summer heat was unbelievable, and there wasn't even a fan.

The villa is awesome, and the balcony scenery is just as good. It's high up on the mountain, so walking up the steps might be difficult.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Before check-in, we messaged the host through air bnb to tell her when our ferry would arrive, but she ignored the messages, didn't answer our call and never came to let us in. We spent three hours sitting by the road trying to reach her. It was high season, everything was sold out, and air bnb couldn't rebook us. The only hotels left were far beyond our budget. We also met another family of five who were having the same trouble checking into villa Iva. Other people had a different number for her, and when she answered, she claimed she wasn't the owner of our apartments, even though both bookings were exactly the same. This was the worst experience ever, and she'd left two families stranded for the night. DO NOT STAY HERE.

ANT INFESTATION. Ants everywhere. We bought bread for breakfast and left it sealed in plastic while we went swimming. When we came back, there were ants in the bread. Luckily, my brother is an ant enthusiast, so at least someone enjoyed the stay. If you want ants crawling up your pants while you sleep, definitely stay here!!! Very good for bug fans.

The owner never showed up or let us into the apartment. We tried calling and waited almost an hour before contacting Booking.com. Thankfully, they helped us find somewhere else. The worst experience ever! Don't recommend it. Stay away if you don't want to lose your money or your nerves!!!
