Phoenix No.12 Apartments

A lovely house, and the hostess was very welcoming.

We rented a small apartment directly from the owner, and the welcome was really friendly. We even got a complimentary glass of local alcohol. The layout has two bedrooms, one with bunk beds and another with a double bed and a single bed, plus a shower room and equipped kitchen. Parking is available. It's well placed, about 10 minutes from entrance and parking lot 2 at Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. Konzum supermarket, restaurants and an ATM/bank are just a two-minute walk away. Highly recommended.

Ivana was such a pleasant host, and her warm, personal welcome felt very different from a sales pitch. The apartment is cozy and practical, and the guestbook inside says a lot. The weather was awful for visiting Plitvice, but we were greeted with homemade liqueur when we arrived, then surprised with pancakes for afternoon tea the next day. Such a lovely touch. The location is very convenient and the value for money is undeniable. Go with your eyes closed.

The guestbook pen is the one thing that doesn't work. Otherwise, it's a spacious, nice place near the center, with very nice service and a great price.
