Hotel Central Beach 9

The manager and staff, including Matea and Lucija, were so friendly and helpful, and gave us useful information and recommendations during our stay. The rooms and service were lovely, and the hotel is just 5 meters from the beach. I've visited Makarska ten times over the past ten years, and this was by far the best hotel/apartment I've stayed in. We'll definitely come back!

Everyone was extremely helpful, and the apartment had okay equipment and air conditioning. The furniture was average, but the smell in apartment 110 was absolutely disgusting. That alone means I won't return. There are better, more luxurious places in Croatia for a lower price. The location is perfect, with the beach, sea, bakery, and shop all a minute away. The nearest parking has only a few spaces; the second lot is also a minute away and has a bit more room, so that's where I parked. The hotel insisted on cash and initially wouldn't give me a receipt or payment confirmation, which made me wonder about tax fraud. I asked at reception three times before leaving and got nothing. An hour after I posted this review, I finally received the invoice and confirmation.

We had a lovely stay in a clean, attractive two-bedroom apartment, with friendly, attentive service and a wonderful breakfast. The property is close to everything and has parking. The one downside was paying a bit more by booking through a third party than we would have paid directly with the hotel.

The hotel was clean and very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We asked whether an early check-in was possible because of our arrival time, and the receptionist kindly sorted it out. It's very close to the beach, with lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend it.
