Hostel Timun - Adults Only

We’ve eaten at this restaurant every year, but this visit left us disappointed. The food still tastes good, and prices haven’t risen much, but the portions seem to have been cut in half compared with last year. We went twice this time, thinking the first meal might have been bad luck. If you’re hungry, you may need to order both a starter and a main, or you’ll still be hungry. The fish platter for two was especially disappointing. It came without a side dish, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu, and the waiter didn’t offer one. There wasn’t enough fish for two unless you split a fish in half, share a tuna steak, or divide three shrimp between two people. Last year it wasn’t like this. The service was lacking too. We had to remind them about drinks or bread, and nobody asked whether we wanted dessert or coffee, though they used to do that in previous years. We won’t be back.

The food was very good, and the octopus salad is worth a try. The tuna steaks were a little dry, though still fresh and tasty.

The calamari were delicious, and the waiters were very friendly. It’s a great atmosphere in a somewhat hidden spot. The bathroom is tiny, but clean.

We went for lunch as a family of four and enjoyed everything we ordered: a fish platter for two, fried calamari, and tuna steak. The waiter was friendly, and the prices are typical for a tourist town. Worth a visit if you’re not sure where to eat.
