Guest House Heart & Soul

Antonja was the bright spot. She was genuinely helpful with tips about the city, and changed the blanket as soon as we showed her the blood stain. That’s why I’m giving the place three stars. Cleanliness was far below what we expected: there was dust everywhere, and the bedding wasn’t very clean. Our bed broke the first night. It looked old and repeatedly repaired, though the owner insisted it had never caused a problem before. We had booked three nights, but on the last night they moved us to another apartment. It was bigger, but still not clean.

It was quiet and close to the old town, but the place was really uncomfortable. We weren’t expecting top quality for the price, but the toilet, floor, kitchen, oven, and everything else seemed dirty.

The basement room was a terrible place to stay. So much was broken: one toilet didn’t work, the boiler didn’t heat the water, and the shower didn’t have a high support. The bed broke in the middle of the night, and one night they’d overbooked, so we had to move elsewhere. You can find better places near the beach or harbour for the same price. Simply don’t go.

There’s no street sign to help you find this hidden place, and the guy at the counter was rude. Read the other reviews before booking.
