The spa was open throughout the day and made it easy to unwind. Breakfast was especially generous, and the kitchen could prepare anything I can think of that wasn’t already on the menu, if requested. The staff were attentive, interested, and helpful with everything we asked for and more. Ina and Peter at reception deserve a special mention for putting together a Split tour guide and offering ideas and advice for the things we wanted to do. We stayed two nights at the Ambassador Hotel in Split, Croatia, on 3-4.12.2025. The hotel is elegant and beautifully detailed, both in its looks and its practical design. Our spacious room was on the fifth floor, with a huge harbor-facing window that made it feel like we were right over the water. It had a large bathroom, a luxurious shower, and everything you'd expect from a million-dollar hotel. Since it was my birthday, they sent a bottle of champagne and a delicious sweet Christmas cake to the room. A sublime stay. It made us feel at home while still treating us like very special guests. We’d love to come back.

Dining at the hotel restaurant made the stay even more memorable. The food, presentation, and service were all top class. The hotel was spotless throughout, and the staff were outstanding, friendly, professional, and ready to help. Hotel Ambassador is peaceful and relaxing despite being close to both the old town and the waterfront. Everything about it was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.

The views were incredible. I had a king room overlooking both the sea and city, and woke up in awe each morning. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked perfectly, and I didn’t run into any problems. The restaurant and bar were amazing too. Breakfast was included, with a huge selection and the option to order from the breakfast menu as well. Definitely worth it, and I’d stay again. Five stars all around.

We finished our two-week honeymoon in Croatia at Hotel Ambassador, and it was just the luxury break we needed after nights on a boat and small stays on different islands. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone visiting Split. The pool and lounge area were a highlight, with beautiful views of the harbor and town. We also loved the spa, where we had unlimited use of the saunas and steam rooms, and the restaurant’s breakfast each day was fantastic. The hotel is clean, modern, and sleek, with great amenities. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was modern, and the views were breathtaking. It was the perfect place to rest, relax, and be pampered.

The hotel and its location are beautiful, and breakfast was very good. What brought my rating down was the charge when our flight arrived late, after the check-in time. We ended up checking in at 6 AM the next morning, but were charged a $387.88 “cancelation” fee, more than the room cost, even though we hadn’t canceled the whole stay. That was on top of the room rate. There was no notice or receipt, and Expedia showed the trip canceled without telling me about the fee. I had to call to get clarification. That kind of fee setup and service isn’t five-star.
