Hotel Corner

Split is a beautiful city on the Adriatic, and there’s a public beach about a mile away that’s open around the clock and worth seeing. The Corner Hotel is around a 10-minute walk from the old downtown promenade. It has a modern look, and the bar and restaurant service was nice. A couple of small drawbacks: the room safe needs an actual key, and there were no tissues in the bathroom.

The staff made our honeymoon feel special. When I mentioned why we were there, they surprised us with champagne and roses, and everyone was so kind and attentive. Hotel Corner is right in the heart of the city, just steps from the main attractions. We loved our stay and would happily come back. Highly recommend it.

Tina and Adra at the front desk helped us sort out our plans for the day and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was outstanding, and the hotel was really well kept and in a great spot. We were treated like royalty. Worth every penny, as my fellow Americans will understand. Fellow tourists, do yourselves a favor and book a stay.

A male stranger I wasn’t traveling with was given a key card to my room. While I was showering, he came in. I was terrified and extremely distressed. He backed out, mumbling that he’d been given the wrong card. A few minutes later, reception called to apologize, but gave no sensible explanation for what they called a “mistake.” How does someone who isn’t listed as staying in my room get its key card? The staff showed no regard for guest safety or well-being, and I’d avoid this hotel. There are safer, better located options in Split. There’s no pool either, which seems ridiculous for a city that’s probably busiest in the hot summer months.
